Employee Feature – Don Halbur

Don has been in the health and life insurance industry since March of 2010 and has been with IGO since that same time.  He enjoys working with all of the great people in this area to help service their insurance needs.  Don specializes in working with the Senior market clients.  He enjoys providing them help with their Medicare planning needs.  He also helps clients with a variety of products for life, health, long-term care, disability, cancer, dental and critical illness.

 

When asked why he decided to work for IGO, Don said, “I decided to change careers after spending 36 years in the construction industry.  I wanted a new career challenge, and I always enjoyed studying about financial products and helping others.  Therefore, I thought about working in the insurance industry where I could do both.”

 

Why does Don enjoy working at IGO? “I enjoy the laid back and honest way that IGO runs the business.  There are no weekly goals that have to be met.  This allows us to help the client on their terms and not to push just any product to meet the sales quota.  Thus, our company motto: You are the priority, NOT the product.”

 

Don’s hobbies include: church activities, riding a bicycle, and reading.  He has been married for 32 years and has 2 grown children. He has a B.A. degree from Iowa State University.
