2015 Health Insurance Premium Increases by State

 As we inch closer to open enrollment, we are starting to look at premium estimates for the second year of the health insurance exchange. The 29  states that have publicly released their increases vary widely. Missouri has yet to release initial rate filling information.

This information does not include premium tax credits, which is available to most who purchase their insurance on the marketplace.

According to PriceWaterhouseCooper, “Year two of the exchanges is expected to see an upswing in participation from several major commercial insurers. The bellwether Blue Cross Blue Shield plans have submitted increase requests across the country typically above 9%.”
