Perks for Ambetter Customers
If you purchased your 2018 health insurance policy through the Marketplace, and you reside in Greene or Christian county, you’re probably covered by “Ambetter Health”. This was a new company to residents in our area, and as we were hesitant at first to discuss our personal feelings toward the reputation of the company based on our own interactions, we can say today that so far, we have been pleasantly surprised.
I’ve had clients give me positive reviews of swift customer service response, steady communications and a member portal offering to select a doctor, view/print ID cards, make payments and view claims—all things we love when it comes to having to “deal” with insurance companies. All too often you pay the monthly premium, and very little happens after that to keep you in the loop on your own policy.
Just a couple of reminders in case this slipped through the cracks—if you’re enrolled with Ambetter, you have opportunities throughout the year to earn rewards! These rewards are applied to a Visa Prepaid Card, and are loaded for each healthy activity that you complete—they can be used to help pay for: monthly premium payments, doctor copays, deductibles and coinsurance!
- $50 in rewards by completing a “Wellbeing Survey” within your first 90 days of membership (you should probably get that done BEFORE March 31st, then!)
- $50 just by getting your annual wellness exam with your primary care doctor
- Up to $75 by completing a physical activity like going to the gym, taking a hike, or running a 5K—you’ll earn $25 for each activity that you complete.
- $25 by getting your annual flu vaccine in the fall
- $50 if you’ll complete an “On Target” program—a personalized health plan focused on nutrition, weight and stress management, fitness, tobacco cessation or financial well-being.
