The Year of the Independent Agent

pexels-photo-331990History of the Local Insurance Agency tells us that things are changing….in the internet-fueled world of the years past, we learned that people would rather shop on their own, from the comfort of their sofas.  Lots of what I would call “pop-up e-insurance” websites offered opportunities for sales reps from parts unknown to collect phone numbers (a.k.a.—“leads”) from inquiring souls, and when you combine that with the launch of the Affordable Care Act, the average person comes out stressed, annoyed by phone calls and emails, and targeted by those selling plans disguised as “health insurance”, but are truly not so.

Client after client, I would listen to the stories telling me the same thing: misinformation, fraud at times, harassment and utter confusion from sources emanating from an online search for the basic health insurance plan.

Basic health insurance plan!? It’s complicated, even for the most seasoned insurance producer—I’m on my tenth year, and the ACA has certainly created a whole new platform of understanding and learning. Navigating on your own, when it comes to health insurance, is not a job I’d wish on my worst enemy.  And so as we approach yet another year in question in regard to our health insurance choices, 2017 ought to be YOUR YEAR—the year you rely on a broker who lives in YOUR community, shops the same insurance plans that YOU DO, and who has trained tirelessly to understand ACA—so that when we talk with you, we’re compiling all of the knowledge and training into a simply-worded, clear-cut conversation about your choices—ALL OF THEM—no bias, no mis-information, and also…NO COST.

We’re happy to help.
